Instead we decided to drive to the DFO store, which Jobe had found out to be near the Brisbane Airport. Some how the weather in Brisbane had changed again; it is by now getting less hot and and there's plenty of rain. (Nah payah tah Babu kan menjemur barang-barang sasahannya atu!) Immediately after brunch, we jumped into the car and headed in the direction of the Brisbane airport. To locate the DFO site was as easy as A B C. We were there in no time at all.
Converse Store became our first hit and admittedly I couldn't help picking one or two items from here. (This reminded me of the guilt-free shopping in Cheshire Oaks when we visited the UK last September). The design of the DFO store is fairly simple; it is simply a long rectangular warehouse with various designer outlets located next to each other along the perimeter and also along the middle section of the rectangle. Almost all the big designer names are there and the prices are very competitive even compared to the factory outlet in Harbour Town, Gold Coast. Inda hairanlah, babu dan Kaka Zati atu panuh saja tangan diorang dengan plastic bags - apa saja yang diorang angkut ani kan?
We could have easily spent three or four hours at this superstore and I kept reminding them that it's time to go home. (Hujan lagi pandai beranti - inda sangal-sangalnya membali-bali ani kah?). Eh, bergaya tah ku bila memakai kaca mata hitam Oakley ku ani bila balik ke Brunei ni karang!!
